emergence myths One of the many versions of origin or creation stories, in which the first people are said to have moved updward toward the present plane of existence through a series of previous worlds.

The subject of myth uses a vocablary of words with resonant meanings. We don't mean for the Mythic Glossary to be a page of dry definitions, but more a springboard.
