Object of the Quest : Our Goals
Simply bringing these minds together will create something very special-a sort of a mythic time and space, but we will do a whole lot more. In short, we have three specific goals for Mythic Journeys:
To bring together the best minds who are working to keep myth alive, and allow them to interact across disciplines in conversations, performances, and workshops.
To introduce mythic thinking to as wide and diverse an audience as possible, and introduce them to disciplines they may not be familiar with. Each speaker attracts a unique audience that might not have experienced the works of the others. By exposing people to these other forms of mythic work, we believe they'll better understand why myths resonate and seem so significant in their lives.
To create a broader, enduring community from this diverse group of like-minded souls by fostering a sense of warmth and community, and to have people leaving saying, "wow! I've shared a truly transforming experience."
If more people knew about the work that our guests and speakers are doing, the world would be a better place. Mythic Journeys is our first step to begin reaching as many as possible.
