Nancy Gibson's work with young people in theatre, leadership and community development,
combined with her experiences in teaching and outdoor education, led her to co-create the
Conflict Resolution Crew (CRC) in Racine, Wisconsin.
Nancy has a Masters Degree in Education from Goddard College. She credits most of her learning to working
as a youth leader with the Augustana University College Outdoor Leadership Program, the Fort McMurray, Alberta
(Canada) Boys' & Girls' Club, the Alberta Alcohol & Drug Abuse Commission, and as a middle and high
school teacher in the United States and Canada. She enjoys digital photography, modern dance, drumming and
playing on beaches with her family. Nancy Gibson addresses the dynamic transformation that can occur when
youth are given the opportunity to lead, given the forum to change themselves and influence others when
forming community and giving voice through theatrical presentation.
