Writing After Discussion
Most of the final writing activities are creative projects, but occasionally students compose a personal essay or an essay answering an evaluative questions. Any of the final writing assignments can be completed as individual projects or in small groups or pairs. Writing After Discussion assignments:
- Help students consolidate their thinking and continue their thougtful engagement with a story's ideas
- Give students the opportunity to assimilate the new ideas that emerged during Shared Inquiry Discussion and to measure them against their own experience and opinions.
- Guide students in elaborating and organizing their thoughts as a part of the writing process.
