Wendy Doniger, Ph. D. is the author of numerous works on Hinduism, mythology, literature, law, gender, and ecology. Her cross-cultural offerings have included courses about death, dreams, evil, horses, sex, and women. Dr. Doniger is the Mircea Eliade Distinguished Service Professor of the History of Religions at the University of Chicago Divinity School. She works with the Department of South Asian Languages and Civilizations, and is on the Committees on Social Thought and on the Ancient Mediterranean World.
